Joana is a Chemical Engineer with a PhD in Systems Biology and over a decade of experience in modelling chemical and biotechnology processes. Her work focuses on developing computational solutions and digitalization strategies for the Food & Beverage industry, with an emphasis on sustainable manufacturing. Combining biology with practical engineering experience, she works with organisations to optimise their manufacturing processes, particularly in fermentation applications, aiming to enhance process efficiency and sustainability. Currently, she is exploring digital solutions to address technical and environmental challenges in the alternative protein sector.
